Sheer Is Here - Spring/Summer Fashion Trends 2020

"If you’re going to do something, do it well"

They say if you’re going to do something, do it well and guys that is an important principle that has been weighing my mind ever since I decided to recommit myself to blogging again. As an innate creative, there are times where you go through a drought and the things you love no longer inspire you to create. It’s tragic. However, I do believe it is important to have a break and prioritise the important things that will alleviate the pressures of “Adulting”. University was my bane and having recently graduated last summer while also securing a job in my field, for the first time in my life, I feel as though I'm journeying on a steady course. The tides are still and I can finally breathe. So here goes, bitches I'm back!

Sheer Is Here!

When it comes to the fashions, honey I always like to be on the look out on what's in & what's out and this seasons fashion forecast is all about 'What lies beneath' *winks winks. Sheer is here and I am totally obsessing over it! This Spring/Summer 2020 trend encompasses the classic 'less is more' principle, tied in with the use of wearing soft, flowy & sheer fabrics such as chiffon & tulle for that ultra-feminine look. This trend gives you the opportunity to show off your prettiest bras or like me...your chance to free the nipple. My favourite sport! This risqué aesthetic can be worn by anyone who dares to be bold.

Mugler, Jacquemus & Ermanno Scervino Spring/Summer 2020
Designers from Mugler, Jacquemus & Ermanno Scervino have all been sporting this trend on their catwalks, showcasing their own interpretation. With a plethora of sheer organza blouses to dresses seen on the high street, this trend can be taken even further with the use of your imagination. Understandably, it is still cold in these damn streets and nobody has the time to fall ill for the sake of fashion. However, I still wanted to interpret this trend my own way and of course, tailor it in a way that is still deemed suitable for these current weather conditions.

Here is my interpretation of the sheer trend. 'All black everything' with an emphasis on soft mixed fabrics and playing around with unconventional silhouettes for that 'Wow!' effect. Dinner is served!
